IMMERSE Transnational Exchange Lab

Register for the IMMERSE Transnational Exchange Lab #2

IMMERSE is organising the second Transnational Estuary Exchange Lab (TEEL) on Tuesday 24 November 2020 online. The main theme of this TEEL is sediment management in estuaries, in particular the development of innovative methods and how sediment management strategies can contribute to the improvement of the quality of estuarine systems.

The Estuary Exchange Lab will feature the management context of the Eems-Dollard estuary and discuss the value, role and importance of sediments in estuarine ecosystems. Through interactive online discussions, the Estuary Exchange Lab offers a platform for transnational exchange: IMMERSE partners, North Sea Region estuary managers and relevant stakeholders will explore solutions and share experiences through two dedicated break-out sessions.

A draft programme is available and registration is open for each session using the links provided below.

NOTE: All participants are encouraged to attend the introductory session, which will ‘set the scene’ for the breakout sessions, as well as demonstrate the audience interaction tools. Participants should also register for one or both of the breakout sessions using the links above.

Introductory session: 'Transnational Estuary Exchange: Introducing IMMERSE and the Eems-Dollard estuary': 9:30 - 10:30

Breakout session I: 'What works in sustainable sediment management strategies?': 11:00 - 13:00

Breakout session II: 'Estuary Governance Structures and Processes'  session: 14:00 - 16:00

Anyone with an interest in North Sea Region estuary management is encouraged to attend. For any questions, please contact Clare Waldmann (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.)
