Green light to further develop six new Baltic Sea Region projects

All three concept notes for new Interreg Baltic Sea Region projects developed by s.Pro on behalf of its clients have now received green light to develop full-fledged applications. This is the result of the Interreg Baltic Sea Region Programme’s Monitoring Committee meeting in Stockholm on 28 and 29 April 2015. The Committee invited 81 of the 282 concept notes that had been submitted in response to the first call to proceed into the second application step.
The three concept notes – Baltic LINes, EcoDesign Circle and BEA-APP – deal with the topics of maritime spatial planning solutions for shipping routes and energy transmission corridors, ecodesign as a driver for innovation, and spatial challenges in renewable energy planning, respectively.
The Monitoring Committee also selected all three concept notes for projects of the SUBMARINER Network to continue in the next application stage. “As full member of the SUBMARINER Network and host of its secretariat, we are very pleased about the strong support that has been given to these strategic blue growth projects”, states s.Pro’s Angela Schultz-Zehden, who acts as managing director of the SUBMARINER Network for Blue Growth EEIG.
The project partnerships will now have time until mid July to further develop advanced project proposals.
