s.Pro to develop an Implementation Strategy for the Baltic Blue Growth Agenda

s.Pro has been assigned by the European Commission to support DG MARE in kick-starting the implementation of its Baltic Blue Growth Agenda by raising mutual understanding, creating ownership and stimulating the systematic interplay between the various actors throughout the region. For a start, the Implementation Strategy is focusing on 4 thematic areas – blue bio-economy, shipping, environmental & monitoring technology and tourism.

The initiative will be stakeholder-driven, taking a cross-Baltic approach to innovation and sustainability with a strong focus on entrepreneurial opportunities and industry challenges. As first step in the stakeholder engagement process an online survey will soon be launched. The survey results will be used to ensure a structured, focused and result-oriented discussions in a stakeholder engagement process leading to four interactive workshops to be held in early 2017.

This assignment is implemented by s.Pro (lead) and Ecorys under the “Framework Contract for Identifying and Supporting Blue Growth Projects in Emerging Sectors“ of the DG MARE and will run until May 2017.
